We asked them questions about the development of Brikn.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Please introduce yourself. Is Brikn your first crypto venture? It would be interesting to know about your exploits so far and how you ended up in crypto.

A — Thomas from Brikn: Hi, I’m Thomas Parsons and I’m head of DAO and co-founder of BRIKN. I am an expert blockchain business advisor, I have founded my very own blockchain consultancy. I started out in the industry in 2015 and since then have helped over 20 projects from the idea through to the launch phase and have expertise in marketing, community development and fundraising.

I am also a draftsman and have worked on some prolific landmarks in London, such as; Battersea Power Station and the V&A art museum. So I will be doing all of the architectural drawings for BRIKN for the developments and projects.

A — Thomas from Brikn: We are the world’s first property DAO to reward its members monthly in USDT, for their contributions to our DAO ecosystem.

Brikn is a revolutionary project that makes real estate investments possible within seconds without banks, hidden fees, or geographic limits. The project is a great opportunity for anyone who’s seeking ways to invest in multiple real estate projects without the need for large capital that generates passive income, diversifies their investment portfolio, and protects their capital from inflation.

A — Mark from Brikn: My name is Mark Goodman and I’m the CEO Hi, my name is Mark Goodman and I’m the CEO and head of UK construction I have more than 20 years of experience in the UK building and development and over the last 10 years have helped construct over £500m worth of developments with some of the largest developers in the UK.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Next question. What is the Brikn project about? Shed some light on the ecosystem and how the project works.

A — Thomas from Brikn: We are the world’s first property DAO to reward its members monthly in USDT, for their contributions to our DAO ecosystem.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: I see Thomas is also a member of the Blocksultancy team. What’s the relation between Blocksultancy and Brikn?

A — Thomas from Brikn: I have been working in the blockchain industry since 2015, building up a vast network of industry professionals, creators and investors. In 2020 I started Blocksultancy, we act as a one-stop-shop for blockchain projects, providing them with any services they may need to have a successful launch and become an established project. I will be utilising my skills and my network within BRIKN to ensure a successful project and make sure it reaches its full capabilities.

This can be anything from tech solutions, marketing, launchpads, VC introductions, and exchange listing. You name it I can provide it. This has helped BRIKN get to where we are today, with Gate.io accepting to list us and a number of launchpads in the works who will be assisting with the raise.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Tell us a bit more about the team. Any interesting names on the team and advisors list?

A — Mark from Brikn: Sam and Luke both have a large Rent to Rent portfolio and will be overseeing that part of our business model they also run a large marketing company and currently running all our marketing strategies

Elliot and Jay are the CEO and CTO of Decubate, respectively, they will be taking care of our smart contracts and our vault, which is the HUB of our DAO platform and rewards system.

Madalin Dimitru is our cyber security advisor and has founded and is CEO of the largest European cyber security firm, so we’re definitely in good hands.

We needed the right team around us, we know our own individual roles within the company and I certainly could not have done it without the team and Toms's support.

A — Thomas from Brikn: Yes, together I think we have all bases covered. Mark with his extensive construction knowledge

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Who are your main competitors and what sets Brikn apart from them?

A — Mark from Brikn: Competitors, there are none doing what we are doing most are tokenising single properties where theirs lots of red tape and legal requirements.

With BRIKN we provide 60% of the profits from the entire portfolio which is then sent to our DAO and via a smart contract distributed to token holders who are staking in the vault. This means the longer you stake and the more BRIKN builds year on year, the % that you will receive over that time will grow as well.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Have you raised funds so far?

A — Thomas from Brikn: Around £350k has been raised in the private round since marketing started in Jan/Feb. We are also in talks with a crypto bank in Dubai about raising £4m. They are looking to set up a property fund where their customers will be able to contribute and the BRIKN token will be tied into that.

We are still currently in private sale with seed sale available also. The current price is $0.03 and we’ll be launching at $0.08. We have an allocation which we have reserved for when we list on launchpads also. We believe with the current agreements and conversations we currently have and are having, the hard cap with be succeeded easily.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: How much money will you raise in total?

A — Thomas from Brikn: We’re looking to raise $5m in total

This will put us on track to hitting our target and then some of £50m property portfolio within 5 years

Giving investors a 10x on their APY from the inception of the project, of funds distributed to staked tokens from the portfolio

A — Mark from Brikn: Throughout the team, we know this is more than achievable, we don’t plan to stop after the 5 treats, this is just a benchmark for going forward.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: How are the funds going to be deployed?

A — Mark from Brikn: The main focus is ready-to-purchase, buy to let and HMO properties you can view our YouTube channels for videos on this and the benefits, but we target a 10–30% return per year on each property and will be buying 20–30% below market value these are brought to us by our in house team and external partners who source distressed properties.

We also focus on buying and flipping and rent to rent. We have a large pot for an ecosystem which allows us to start purchasing more properties after 6 months but most of these will be used for developments such as new builds and commercial to residential, the foundation of the company will be built on rental properties giving investors back their return in the short term, but what we are looking at also is the long term asset gain for our investors too.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Who are your current investors/backers?

A — Thomas from Brikn: We have raised our funds organically so far, with our investors consisting of retail and sophisticated investors. This is due to the DAO ecosystem we have, we want to build a large and strong community before we reach out to institutional investors.

As previously spoken about we are in talks with a cryptocurrency bank that is looking to set up a property fund. This would be massive for us and still allow us to build that much-wanted community, thanks to individuals being able to contribute through the fund.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Are there any partnerships we should look forward to?

A — Thomas from Brikn: Yes, we have a great partnership with ChainLink in the pipeline, where we’ll be utilising their automation technology on our DAO platform and will be co-marketing with them once we’re on mainnet. We also have a number of partnerships with Real Estate industry professionals, securing our position in the market and maximising profits.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Poolz Finance was recently exploited by hackers. Is Brikn secure? Has the project been audited already?

A — Thomas from Brikn: We have an audit from Hacken, you can find the full report on our website. We scored a security score of 9.8/10. Madalin is on the team and we have a partnership with cyber smart defence, one of the largest in Europe which will be conducting penetration tests and hackathons to ensure our platform security.

We also have partnered up with Forsters, a leading UK law firm that is taking care of structuring our DAO

This protects our investors and the company and makes sure everything is legal and above board and that the DAO is fully functional

Q — Leslie from GAINS: How far along are you with your roadmap and what should we expect in the next weeks and months?

A — Mark from Brikn: We are currently on track with our current roadmap and have hit all of our goals to date. We are now in the stages where we are beginning to create our portfolio, we have 2 developments of new builds in the pipeline and have started to reach out to private landlords to start managing their properties. This will bring profits to both token holders and NFT holders.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: When can we expect the project to be live?

A — Thomas from Brikn: We are aiming for the second quarter but this will depend on market conditions. We will hopefully have a working model of the DAO platform in the next few months.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: What’s the utility of the $BRIKN token in your ecosystem?

A — Thomas from Brikn: Staking in the vault and contributing to the DAO ecosystem will allow those token holders to receive rewards in the form of USDT every month. 60% of the profits from the entire portfolio are distributed to token holders. The more properties purchased and the more developments we construct mean more monthly rewards to our community who stake in the vault.

The token will also give governance over the project and the direction it moves in and the strategy implemented on the properties. NFT holders create proposals for the projects and then the token holders get to vote on them. Majority rules. NFT holders will also receive 50% of profits from the property management company.

We will be adding further utility once we have maximised holders’ profits and reached a portfolio of £50m worth of property. We’ll be looking into numerous other ways of merging blockchain technology with Real Estate and this will all be done through our platform.

Q — Leslie from GAINS: Moving to the next question; what’s the public valuation?

A — Mark from Brikn: The current valuation in the private sale is around $10m, this is due to the size of the market and the size of our raise. Once we fill our raise, we have worked out you will be earning an estimated 6% APY on your original investment, this is with a property portfolio at £5m in valuation, and this will then grow as the portfolio grows.

Q — Telegram user Spark🧠: I read that you only look for a yield of at least 10% and plan to achieve a portfolio of £50m In 5 years (quite amazing), with the instability market position can the team still achieve this goal within 5 years? How do you avoid fraud in title management knowing real estate purchases and investments lack transparency? Can payment for real estate purchases be made on-chain?

A — Thomas from Brikn: Good question. — The 10% yield is the minimum we are predicting and we have outlined a strategy to achieve much higher. There will be an educational section in our DAO platform to help the DAO make informed decisions to maximise their ROI. To achieve this valuation, there are multiple ways we can do so;

- Draw down on the ecosystem token allocation, we can sell these tokens at market value in a series A sale to raise further funds to grow the property portfolio even further.

- Buy, refurbish, refinance, thanks to our partnerships with property sources, we are getting offered properties at up to 25% market value, we can then refurbish the properties adding additional value and then after 6 months we can refinance and draw out 75% of the properties value, then putting that straight into our next development and repeating this over and over again.

We have worked out that a £50m portfolio is achievable in 2.5 years with a £5m raise and 5 years with a £2.5m raise, which we think is both easily achievable. With Mark’s extensive construction background and team, all development is done in-house maximising profits and minimising expenditure. We will also be managing all the properties ourselves, cutting out another cost.

In terms of transparency, this is one of our pillars and it will all be visible on-chain and through our platform, ensuring full transparency for the DAO. They will be deciding on every property we purchase.
